MOIS Cup 2022

1 What is MOIS Cup?

MOIS Cup is an English-Japanese debate tournament held at Saitama City Omiya International Secondary School. In this tournament, students can use the various skills they have acquired in class on a daily basis, such as the ability to speak, cooperate with their peers, and think critically, and interact with students from schools in and outside of the prefecture through debates. Whether it is your first time debating or you are not good at public speaking, you are more than welcome to join us. We look forward to your participation!

  • Junior High School Division
    • Students enrolled in Saitama City Schools or IB World Schools.
      • When applying, please form teams of 3-5 students and choose between English or Japanese.
      • A maximum of 4 teams (2 English and 2 Japanese) from the same school may apply.
      • *If the number of applications exceeds the limit, participating teams will be selected by lottery.
  • High School Division
    • Students enrolled in Saitama Municipal High Schools or IB World Schools.
      • When applying, please form teams of 4-6 students and choose between English or Japanese.
      • A maximum of 4 teams (2 English and 2 Japanese) from the same school may apply.  
      • *If the number of applications exceeds the limit, participating teams will be selected by lottery.

  Talk to your Japanese or GS (English) teachers. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, July 20. 申し込みの締め切りは7月20日(水)です

  1. Transportation and other expenses are the responsibility of the individual.
  2. Parents and guardians are also welcome to visit.

  1. Our group would like to discuss how AI relates to and supports our lives, and the impact it will have on our future, based on concrete evidence that anyone can agree on.
    Based on our research, we would also like to think about what we can do and what we should do now, and present our findings.
    The four of us will work together to make a presentation that only we can make.
